It’s the anniversary of our heroine’s birthday, which makes it the perfect day to introduce her to the world! I’m thrilled to share my and Stephanie’s new cover for our upcoming novel about Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, My Dear Hamilton. It’s coming April 3, 2018, and up for preorder now. And we’re so excited about this book we can barely stand it! Take a look:

About My Dear Hamilton: A Novel of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton (Coming 4.3.2018):

Wife, Widow, and Warrior in Alexander Hamilton’s Quest to Form a More Perfect Union

From the New York Times bestselling authors of America’s First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton—a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. Haunting, moving, and beautifully written, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza’s story as it’s never been told before—not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal—but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

A general’s daughter…

Coming of age on the perilous frontier of revolutionary New York, Elizabeth Schuyler champions the fight for independence. And when she meets Alexander Hamilton, Washington’s penniless but passionate aide-de-camp, she’s captivated by the young officer’s charisma and brilliance. They fall in love, despite Hamilton’s bastard birth and the uncertainties of war.

A founding father’s wife…

But the union they create—in their marriage and the new nation—is far from perfect. From glittering inaugural balls to bloody street riots, the Hamiltons are at the center of it all—including the political treachery of America’s first sex scandal, which forces Eliza to struggle through heartbreak and betrayal to find forgiveness.

The last surviving light of the Revolution…

When a duel destroys Eliza’s hard-won peace, the grieving widow fights her husband’s enemies to preserve Alexander’s legacy. But long-buried secrets threaten everything Eliza believes about her marriage and her own legacy. Questioning her tireless devotion to the man and country that have broken her heart, she’s left with one last battle—to understand the flawed man she married and imperfect union he could never have created without her…

Spread the word!

  1. Thanks for sharing now. It will be difficult to wait until next April…..but it also gives us something to really look forward to. I have told so many people about “America’s First Daughter”…..and I am sure that this new book will be just as wonderful.

P.S. Our trip to Monticello this summer was so enriched after reading “America’s First Daughter”. I could picture so many scenes with your beautiful portrayal of history. Thank you.

    • Oh I’m so glad America’s First Daughter added to your trip to Monticello! Thanks for sharing that! We can’t wait for you to read My Dear Hamilton!

  2. I’m currently reading “America’s First Daughter” and it is wonderfully, fabulous! I’m so excited about “My Dear Hamilton”. I can’t wait for it to come out. I volunteer at Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest and just love increasing my knowledge of Mr. Jefferson and the other founding fathers. We have many visitors who come into Poplar Forest and tell us they have read or are reading “America’s First Daughter” and that they just love it. I know your books are fiction but it’s so exciting to have the characters come to life and not be a dry, academic, history book full of facts that is difficult to read for any length of time. I can’t wait to finish it and I’ll be sad to finish it as well. It’s going to be a long wait until April for your next book but I look so forward to reading it.

    • This is so lovely to hear, Kathy! Thank you so much! It totally tickles us that readers are mentioning the book when they come to Poplar Forest and Monticello! <3

  3. I cannot wait to read this. I absolutely loved America’s First Daughter. Thank you for the hours of pure reading enjoyment from that. Don’t have FB or Twitter.

  4. This is my first look at your writings and it is certainly very appealing. I will buy the book if i dont win the prize. Thanks .
